In 1976, Sue Howe barely graduated from Kenmore West High School at the rock-bottom percent.  She took the school record being tardy 70 days and absent 30 days in one year!  As a leather jacket biker, she recalls the vroom of her 350 Honda motorcycle-pulling wheelies.  Here’s her testimony in her own words.

Lynyrd Skynyrd jammed, “Lord, help me I can’t change!”  You may remember me as a drug dealer or a rock-n-roll addict.  Before graduation, I attended over 100 rock concerts seeing over 500 groups.  I was a teenage alcoholic-drug fanatic.  My 5-year straight-continual party lifestyle caused me to be in a very confused state!  I bought a double-barrel shotgun to blow my head off.

In 1976, on the 3^rd Saturday in August, a mighty breakthrough happened!  After 10 years without one teardrop from my eyes, I finally began crying.  For 5 hours I cried out, begging God to, “Help me!”  The miracle breakthrough came!  What happened?  I felt a sensation like a strong tingling inside my body.  It began to grow and it was my spirit surging out of my body.  Fully awake, I looked down at large rolling white clouds and saw a dark brown wooden chair, a judgment seat. Immediately (I heard a loud, powerful, audible voice (like Niagara Falls) saying, “Susan, you’re called to do the will of your Heavenly Father”.

I got off the “highway to hell” and began the pursuit of seeking God’s will.  I found my “Most High!.  The Most High, is God Almighty!  In the spring of ’77, I started going to Bible studies, and learned that because Jesus rose from the dead and conquered sin that I could have the total victory from the devil.  I continued to pray and fast and do one powerful thing, “REPENT.”  What does it mean to repent?  Turning away from and stopping doing those naughty sinful things.  I began doing restitution.  I called AM&A’s clothing store and the clerk asked me, “Did you wear the stolen clothes?”  I said, “Of course!”  She said, “We don’t want them!” I donated all the clothes to the Salvation Army.  God forgave me of all my sins.  By asking Jesus to come into my life, I got saved from them and became a Born-again Spirit filled Christian.

In 1979, I made my first evangelistic missionary trip to Belgium; proclaiming the good news that Jesus Christ came to save sinners!  I have a B.A. and am in Kappa Delta Pi (National Education Honors Society).  So far in Graduate school my G.P.A. is 3.8.  I’ve circled the globe as a Missionary/Evangelist, preaching the gospel in over 30 countries.  I have “Great News” for you!  Jesus loves you and has a plan for your life.  Believe and invite Jesus into your life!  (John 1:12)  God’s Son died on the cross for all of your sins (all the things you’ve ever done wrong…e.g. fornication (sex before marriage, adultery, murder, lying, stealing, cheating, gambling, etc.)  Jesus rose from the dead, conquered sin and death so that you could be victorious over the bondage of sin.  You can have Eternal Life!  I don’t want anyone to go to hell, it’s hot down there!  Boycott hell – Repent!  My rock-n-roll has changed!

Now, Jesus is my Rock and my name’s on the roll (The Lamb’s Book of Life).  He is the Rock that doesn’t roll!  God wants to save your soul.  “He who the Son sets free is free indeed.”  (John 8:32)  Jesus wants to deliver you and set you free!  God wants you to go to heaven!  The days are short, you’re in “the valley of decision”.  Up or down, there is no middle ground.  Get on the other side of the fence!  Accept or reject:  chose Life or death, blessing or cursing.  My prayer is that you will pray, repent of your sins (turn from and stop doing those wicked things), Find a church where the Word is preached and go to church.
