I was born in Long Beach, an only child, who was a military brat.  I was raised a good child, but without God in our home.  I graduated from Poly Tech Hi in ’73 & was going to join the marines.  My best friend stole my dad’s tools & I beat him & tied a rope around his neck trying to scare him, but he slipped on the chair that was under a tree. I was found guilty of hanging him & received a sentence of 7 years to life. I served 22 years.  I became part of the Arian Brotherhood & I was evil .I stabbed & maimed people & fought anybody. My reputation grew, but many years were added to the 7 years because of my always getting in trouble & going to the hole.  The day I was being released, there was a riot between the blacks & Mexicans & I was shot 3 times from the tower by mistake.  The deputy dropped the Minnie 14 & when she picked it up, her finger was on the trigger, killing one officer & paralyzing another.  I was shot near my right eye, right elbow & hip. I was in a coma for 3 months.  I remember seeing a beautiful bright light & my mom & dad, who passed away in ’89.  They said to let go, that it was all right, but I got up before the light went out.  When I woke up from my coma, I invited Jesus Christ in my heart as Lord  & Savior. I repented of all the bad things I did. & serve him behind bars.  I was called Preacher Red.  You see, I went back to prison, a 10-year sentence, after 11 days of freedom.  A friend asked me to drive a car over to his friend & the police stopped the car.  It had been stolen & there was a gun under the seat. The devil laid me low, but while I’m here ,I witness & pray for & with other inmates. I serve the Lord in prison. Mel said I am the light & salt in this dark place. I laid hands on a mute inmate who had a miracle. Now he can speak & hear.  I prayed for a Lt’s. wife who had cancer, & she was healed. She is a witness for Christ now. I am 50 & served 32 years in prison. I’ll be out soon & will serve & follow the Lord where He sends me. Mel counseled me & prayed with & for me. My life changed when Mel gave me the Arsenal prayer , which I pray daily. I don’t have the anger, rage, & anxiety that I had daily for so many years.
