GOD LOVES US DESPITE WHAT HE KNOWS ABOUT US by Sister Inez Spencer

Being loved is the most powerful motivation in the world!  Our ability to love is often shaped by our experience of love.  We usually love others as we have been loved.  Love is more than simply a warm feeling; it is an attitude that reveals itself in action.  How can we love others as Jesus loves us?  By helping when it is not convenient, by giving when it hurts, by devoting energy to the welfare of others and by absorbing hurt from others without complaining or fighting back.  That’s why people notice when you love and know you are empowered by a supernatural force.

Jesus confronts each of us.  We cannot know the depth of Jesus’ love unless we are willing to face the fact that he knows us completely.  Otherwise we are fooled into believing He must love the person we pretend to be, not the sinner we actually are.  Being aware of God’s love is a great motivator for change.  His love is given in exchange for our efforts; His love frees us to really live.  Know that God loves you and will never leave you. I have learned that after being imprisoned , hearing a man who came into our facility & preached a loving Christ Crucified message that touched my heart forever. I shall never forget him or the Jesus of love & forgiveness he brought to us. Now I know I can love & be loved , like my Lord Jesus desires.
