My name is Charles Scoggin.  I am 45 years old.  After 7 rehabilitation programs, dying three times from getting hit in the head with a baseball bat, and spending $85,000 in 2002 on cocaine intravenously, I found myself in a cheap motel, all alone and mentally imprisoned.  I had several serious health problems from my addiction.  Everything from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, insomnia and headaches, to mood swings and the shakes. 

In prison I received Jesus Christ into my life and asked  the Lord to relieve me from my pain and misery.  The visiting Pastors and Christians prayed for me.  Today I have been set free through Christ.  My mind, my health, and  my Spirit have been restored.  Today I have true joy and I feel strong about a bright future with the Lord.  I feel confident today that I can have a healthy and joyful life, and be the husband and father God has called me to be. I am  now spreading His Word through the good news of Jesus Christ. When Mel preaches the Word, he always backs everything up with verse & scripture. That is how I came to the cross.
