MY NAME IS ANTHONY DE WHITE DURELL

I truly thank God for rescuing me.  If it had not been for God drawing me, there is no telling where or what would have happened in my life.  Only by the grace of God, I am still alive.  I thank God for everything that has been done in my life.  Although life is a struggle, I can press on as I keep my focus on God and His promises.

Of course I haven’t always been like this.  I haven’t always had the attitude to do the right thing.  It took a lot of hard knocks and tough love to bring me to realize that I had a problem.  Denial is not a good thing. Mel Novak calls it one of the deadly D’s. Coming to the Lord was the best choice I had made in years, and to follow that choice was the decision to allow God to work in me, to be the person that He always intended me to be.

I thank the pastors and others who minister helped me to learn of the grace and mercy that God has for me.  I continue to learn day by day, the goodness of God.  As David says in the 23^rd Psalm, “Surely His goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever”. I pray the Arsenal Prayer daily, read the Word, & pray for Mel & others who reached out to me.  Praise God !
